A Course in Miracles CE Study Group

About the Event
Update June 2021: One space has recently become available. Due to the nature of the material and the progress we have already made since January, it would be best suited to someone who has been working through the Text of the Complete and Annoatated Edition of ACIM this year. If you are interested in taking this place, please get in touch.
Since its original publication in 1977, the depth and complexity of A Course in Miracles has both helped and puzzled millions of people around the world. There is no question that the Course is difficult for our minds to grasp. A single paragraph can contain multiple terms used in unconventional ways and reference numerous different themes. It can sometimes feel like entering into a maze. Despite this, ACIM continues to grow in popularity each year and has become widely regarded as a spiritual masterpiece.
The Complete and Annotated Edition (CE) of the Course, published by the Circle of Atonement in 2017, has done much to address issues around the difficult language, the need for cross-referencing, and the desire for real-life examples. It has restored 45,000 words from the original notes of Course scribe Helen Schucman and includes 33 explanatory essays, plus hundreds of footnotes. Most of the restored words are in the Text (Volume I), which many agree has made it seem more personally relatable and thereby more understandable. Yet it is still complex and open to misinterpretation. For this reason, many students find that studying the Course in a group setting has been essential to their understanding of the message it is conveying and its application to their lives. The CE is available in hardback and Kindle edition, via Amazon (Amazon UK affiliate link).
Following completion of the Circle of Atonement's Level One Certified Study Group Leader Training, Sarah will be starting a new study group for the Text of A Course in Miracles Complete and Annotated Edition (CE) in 2021. This will be an 18-month journey for those who want to study this transformational text in order to understand what it is saying and how it applies to them. The aim is to uncover the true message of A Course in Miracles by remaining faithful to what is written on the page. This is done by working through the Text, looking at key themes and their application.
Although this will be a small group, it is a part of something much bigger - the same meeting format and content will be followed by groups around the world, using materials supplied by Course teachers Robert Perry (lead editor of the CE and world-renowned ACIM scholar) and Mary Anne Buchowski from the Circle of Atonement. You will be provided with a reading schedule which will include five short text sections (or cameo essays) to read each week. To get the most from participation in the group it is recommended that you come prepared to discuss those sections.
